In honor of Oscar, the Calabasas Chronicle recommends the funniest, bitchiest site for movie reviews found anywhere. Even Entertainment Weekly is no rival for the nonsensically named Pajiba whose tag line is the perfectly fitting "scathing reviews for bitchy people". Current and past movie reviews, along with all 78th Oscar nominees are given the once over.
No one is spared from the frothy bitterness of Pajiba's band of excellent writers. For example, in a headline for a review of The Pink Panther, Pajiba recommends we "stay at home and rent The Jerk". You can't get more brazenly honest that that.
Not afraid to love a movie, however, the site has the most insightful take on the current crop of Best Picture Nominees, from the gay themed book-ends of Capote to Brokeback Mountain and everything in between.
